New Uyo International stadium will host Eagles, Bafana match after CAF inspection.

The Confederation of African Football, CAF, has agreed to send its officials to inspect the new Akwa Ibom International Stadium, Uyo, which is being put forward by Nigeria as venue for next month’s 2015 Africa Cup of Nations qualifier between the Super Eagles and the Bafana Bafana of South
Africa.
CAF initially raised concerns that the venue had not yet been inspected and therefore could not be used for the match. However, the NFF assured the continental body of the quality of the facility and the readiness of the Akwa Ibom State government to guarantee safety and security of all persons at the match.
On Tuesday, CAF agreed to send an official to check out the venue next week, as the NFF pushed ahead with all arrangements to have a hitch-free match on Wednesday, November 19.
The 30 -000 capacity all-covered facility with a bullet-proof state box for 70 people is one of the most magnificent sporting structures in Africa. It will be officially commissioned on Thursday, November 6.
The match between the Eagles and the Bafana will be explosive will most likely to determine Nigeria’s qualification for the 2015 Africa Cup of Nations finals.
